BaySierra Mortgage was founded to expand the service area of Santa Rosa Mortgage & Investment Company from just the North Bay Region to Northern California by using the Internet. It is objective of BaySierra through the efforts of John Graziano and his staff to provide private money lending and investment services to Northern California. The private lending portfolio began in September 1987 and grew to over $16 million by 1990. The acquisition of a competing fund and growth in the market added another $20 million to the portfolio. This growth of the private lending portfolio has allowed BaySierra to provide lending and investment services to a larger geographic area.

Market Information

The MBAA, (Mortgage Bankers Association of America), conducted approximately $1.5 Trillion dollars in mortgages in 1998 compared to $835 Billion in 1997. The introduction of new technology and the Internet throughout the late 1990's has been the main market driver of lending services. Bay Sierra is meeting this market demand by providing private lenders the opportunity to review our services and sign up for a loan review online. This reduces the amount of time it takes for the lending process because both lenders and borrowers are more familiar with our lending services.
